Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xiangpi Shengji Gao (XPSJG) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) topical hospital preparation, typically formulated as an ointment or gel, used to promote tissue regeneration and wound healing. It is primarily indicated for chronic non-healing wounds, pressure ulcers (bedsores), anal fistula wounds, and deep second-degree burns. The formulation modulates several signaling pathways, including the NF-κB/HIF-1α/VEGF and PI3K/AKT/HIF-1α axes, to promote macrophage M1 polarization, stimulate fibroblast proliferation and migration, and upregulate the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), collagen type I alpha 1 (COL1A1), and alpha-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA). It is a multi-component herbal preparation frequently used in clinical settings in China, notably at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
