Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xiangshao Granules (Xiangshao Keli) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Shijiazhuang Yiling Pharmaceutical. It is composed of several herbal extracts, including *Cyperus rotundus* (Xiangfu), *Paeonia lactiflora* (Baishao), *Ligusticum chuanxiong* (Chuanxiong), *Angelica sinensis* (Danggui), and *Glycyrrhiza uralensis* (Gancao). The drug is primarily indicated for the treatment of menopause syndrome, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and liver-yang headache. Its mechanism of action involves the regulation of the neuroendocrine system and the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian (HPO) axis, helping to stabilize mood and alleviate physical symptoms associated with hormonal fluctuations. A Phase 4 clinical trial led by Peking Union Medical College Hospital has specifically evaluated its efficacy and safety in treating anxiety symptoms in menopausal women.
