Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xianlian jiedu decoction is an empirical traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal prescription used primarily for the treatment of colorectal cancer and other inflammation-related conditions[4][5]. Its mechanism involves anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, and immunoregulatory effects. XLJDD is formulated by combining multiple herbal components, which act synergistically to reduce tumor growth, suppress inflammatory cytokines, modulate gut microbiota, and influence relevant metabolic pathways such as short-chain fatty acids, sphingolipid, and glycerophospholipid metabolism[4][5]. It is distinct from the related Huanglian jiedu decoction, incorporating additional herbs aimed at cancer treatment. Current research and clinical trials support its use as an adjuvant therapy post colorectal cancer surgery, with demonstrated efficacy in improving disease-free survival, overall survival, and quality of life in patients[5].
