It is a modified version of the classic Xiao Chai Hu Tang (Minor Bupleurum Decoction), specifically optimized for the treatment of post-infectious cough and persistent respiratory symptoms following viral infections such as COVID-19 and influenza. The formula is designed to 'harmonize the Shao Yang' and 'ventilate the Lung' according to TCM principles. Its primary botanical components include *Bupleurum chinense*, *Scutellaria baicalensis*, and *Pinellia ternata*, supplemented with antitussive herbs like *Platycodon grandiflorus* and *Prunus armeniaca*.
