Xiao-Feng-San (XFS), also known as Eliminate Wind Powder, is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine (TCM) formula widely used for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions, particularly atopic dermatitis (AD) and eczema. The formula is designed to treat the 'wind-dampness-heat' pattern in TCM theory and typically comprises 13 herbs, including *Schizonepeta tenuifolia*, *Saposhnikovia divaricata*, and *Sophora flavescens*. XFS is thought to exert its therapeutic effects through anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory pathways, reducing the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and alleviating symptoms such as erythema, pruritus, and skin lesions. Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy as both a monotherapy for severe, refractory AD and as an adjunctive therapy alongside acupuncture for non-severe cases.
