Overview
Xiao Yao Tablet is a traditional herbal medicinal product (tHMP) based on the classic "Xiao Yao San" formula from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It was developed by the Tasly Group with regulatory support from SU BioMedicine and achieved a landmark registration in the Netherlands in 2021, making it one of the first TCM compound preparations to be authorized under the EU's simplified registration procedure for tHMPs. The product is indicated for the relief of mental stress and exhaustion symptoms, including nervous tension, irritability, and anxiety. The formula is a complex mixture of eight botanical ingredients, traditionally used to "soothe the liver and strengthen the spleen," which corresponds to regulating the stress response and digestive function.
