Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xiaoangtiaojing Decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by the Henan Province Hospital of TCM for the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). It is specifically indicated for patients presenting with the TCM syndrome type of Qi stagnation and dampness-stasis. The decoction is designed to improve endometrial receptivity and regulate metabolic and hormonal imbalances associated with PCOS. In clinical research, it is typically evaluated as an adjuvant therapy to be used in combination with standard hormonal treatments, such as Diane-35 (cyproterone acetate and ethinylestradiol), to enhance therapeutic outcomes compared to hormonal therapy alone.
