Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xiaoao-Jiedu prescription is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula developed by the Taizhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily investigated as an adjuvant therapy for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The prescription is hypothesized to enhance the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors, specifically PD-1 monoclonal antibodies, by modulating the tumor microenvironment. Its mechanism of action is thought to involve the sensitization of macrophages, potentially shifting them from a pro-tumor M2 phenotype to an anti-tumor M1 phenotype, thereby overcoming resistance to immunotherapy and chemotherapy.
