Xiaochaihu decoction (Xiao Chai Hu Tang) is a classic Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula composed of seven herbal ingredients: *Bupleurum chinense*, *Scutellaria baicalensis*, *Panax ginseng*, *Pinellia ternata*, *Glycyrrhiza uralensis*, *Zingiber officinale*, and *Ziziphus jujuba*. It is traditionally used to harmonize the Shao Yang (Lesser Yang) stage and treat conditions characterized by alternating chills and fever, chest fullness, and irritability.
