Xiaoer Lianhua Qinggan Granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital preparation developed by the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is specifically formulated for pediatric use to treat acute upper respiratory tract infections and wind-heat cold syndrome. The formulation is based on the principles of clearing heat, detoxifying, and ventilating the lungs to relieve cough. It contains a complex mixture of herbal extracts, including Forsythia and Honeysuckle, which are traditionally used to manage symptoms such as fever, sore throat, and nasal congestion. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was officially recognized and utilized in Tianjin as a key therapeutic for managing pediatric respiratory symptoms.
