Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xiaoke Tongluo is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) therapeutic candidate developed by Guangzhou Lanyun Pharmaceutical Research Co., Ltd. for the treatment of type 2 diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). Formulated as an oral capsule, the drug is designed based on TCM principles to address 'Qi and Yin deficiency' and 'blood stasis blocking collaterals,' which are considered central to the pathogenesis of diabetic nerve damage. Pharmacologically, Xiaoke Tongluo aims to improve peripheral nerve conduction velocity, enhance microcirculation, and provide neuroprotective effects by reducing oxidative stress and inflammatory damage in nerve tissues. The candidate has progressed to Phase III clinical trials in China, where it is being evaluated for its efficacy in alleviating symptoms such as numbness, tingling, and pain in patients with established DPN.
