Xiaomu pellets is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine for the treatment of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). It is specifically indicated for patients presenting with the TCM syndrome pattern of spleen deficiency with phlegm and blood stasis. The formulation aims to improve liver function and reduce hepatic fat accumulation, as measured by the liver-to-spleen CT ratio. It has been evaluated in clinical trials in China comparing its efficacy and safety against polyene phosphatidylcholine in adults with NASH.
