Overview

Xiaoshi Tie (消食贴) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) transdermal patch primarily used to address digestive issues such as indigestion, loss of appetite, and abdominal distension, particularly in children. It is formulated with a blend of various herbal ingredients, including Zhishi (Fructus Aurantii Immaturus), Baizhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae), Shanzha (Fructus Crataegi), Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Laifuzi (Semen Raphani), Sharen (Fructus Amomi), Rougui (Cortex Cinnamomi), Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum), Dingxiang (Flos Caryophylli), and Jineijin (Endothelium Corneum Gigeriae Galli). The patch is applied topically to specific acupuncture points, commonly the navel, to allow the active herbal components to be absorbed. Its therapeutic action is rooted in TCM principles, aiming to strengthen the spleen, promote digestion, regulate qi, and resolve food stagnation, thereby improving gastrointestinal function and alleviating associated discomfort.
