Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xiaoshuan Enteric-Coated Capsule is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation primarily developed and manufactured by Shaanxi Buchang Pharmaceuticals. It is indicated for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, including the sequelae of ischemic stroke (such as hemiplegia and numbness) and coronary heart disease. The formulation is composed of several herbal ingredients, including *Astragalus membranaceus*, *Angelica sinensis*, *Pheretima* (earthworm), and *Carthamus tinctorius*, which work synergistically to promote blood circulation, resolve blood stasis, and improve microcirculation. The enteric-coated capsule design ensures that the medication is released in the intestines, reducing potential gastric irritation and enhancing the absorption of active constituents like lumbricokinase. It is currently being investigated for its efficacy in treating post-cardio/cerebrovascular fatigue syndrome.
