Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xiaosui Huahe decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by the Suzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation (LDH). The decoction is specifically designed to facilitate the spontaneous resorption of herniated nucleus pulposus material, a process that can alleviate nerve root compression without surgical intervention. Its therapeutic effects are attributed to its ability to modulate the inflammatory response, improve local blood circulation (microcirculation), and potentially enhance the phagocytic activity of macrophages involved in disc resorption. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials to confirm its efficacy in promoting LDH resorption and improving clinical outcomes for patients.
