Xiaotan Sanjiefang granule

Xiaotan Sanjiefang granule (also known as Xiaotan Sanjie decoction or XTSJ) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulation originally developed by Professor Wei Pinkang at Shanghai Changzheng Hospital and further evaluated by the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Based on the TCM theory of 'treating from phlegm,' the formulation is designed to resolve phlegm, disperse nodules, fortify the spleen, and regulate qi. It has been clinically evaluated in randomized controlled trials for the treatment of pulmonary lesions and related symptoms in patients recovering from COVID-19 (convalescent stage) who present with abnormal lung CT findings post-discharge. Additionally, Xiaotan Sanjiefang has been extensively studied and clinically used in China for the treatment of gastric cancer and other gastrointestinal malignancies, where it is thought to modulate the tumor microenvironment and inhibit tumor progression and metastasis.
