Overview
Xiaotong Aerosol (消痛气雾剂) is a proprietary Tibetan medicinal formulation developed by Tibet Cheezheng Tibetan Medicine. It is a topical aerosol preparation indicated for the treatment of pain, swelling, and restricted mobility associated with acute soft tissue injuries, sprains, contusions, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The formulation is based on traditional Tibetan medical principles and contains a synergistic blend of botanical extracts, including *Lamiophlomis rotata* (Duyiwei), *Oxytropis falcata* (Duxia), *Tinospora sinensis* (Kuanjinteng), and *Curcuma longa* (Jianghuang). These active constituents exert analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by modulating inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins and cytokines, while also improving local microcirculation at the site of application. The aerosol delivery system facilitates rapid absorption and targeted relief for localized pain management.
