Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xiaoyin Granules (消银颗粒) is an approved Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) product developed and marketed by Shaanxi Kanghui Pharmaceutical for the treatment of psoriasis, particularly psoriasis vulgaris. The formulation is a complex mixture of 13 herbal ingredients, including *Rehmannia glutinosa*, *Lonicera japonica*, and *Angelica sinensis*. In TCM theory, it is used to clear heat, cool blood, nourish blood, and moisten dryness. Modern pharmacological research indicates that Xiaoyin Granules may exert therapeutic effects by regulating immune function, specifically by modulating inflammatory cytokines such as Interleukin-17 (IL-17) and Interleukin-10 (IL-10), and influencing the expression of sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) receptors. It is commonly prescribed as a monotherapy or in combination with acitretin for patients exhibiting blood-heat and wind-dryness patterns.
