Overview
Xiaozhi Ointment (also known as Xiaozhi Ruangao) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) topical formulation developed for the treatment of hemorrhoids, including internal, external, and mixed hemorrhoids. It is formulated with active ingredients such as bear bile powder, Radix Sanguisorbae (Diyu), and borneol. The ointment exhibits anti-inflammatory, analgesic, detumescent, and hemostatic properties, helping to reduce swelling, relieve pain, and cool the blood to stop bleeding. It is commonly used for patients with grade I-II hemorrhoids, inflammatory external hemorrhoids, and thrombosed external hemorrhoids.
