Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xiaozhong Shengji (also known as Xiaozhong Shengji Liquid or GD1802) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) preparation developed by Sichuan Good Doctor Panxi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. for the treatment of radiation-induced oral mucositis. This condition is a frequent and debilitating side effect of radiotherapy in patients with head and neck cancers, characterized by painful ulcerations and inflammation of the oral mucosa. Xiaozhong Shengji is formulated to reduce swelling, alleviate pain, and accelerate the healing of mucosal tissues. Its mechanism of action involves promoting the proliferation of fibroblasts, enhancing collagen synthesis, and improving local microcirculation, which collectively facilitate the regeneration of damaged epithelial cells. The preparation is typically used as an oral rinse or topical application. It is currently undergoing Phase 2 clinical evaluation in China to establish its efficacy and safety as a specialized supportive care treatment for oncology-related mucosal injury.
