Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xiayuxue decoction (XYXD) is a traditional Chinese medicine compound composed of three natural medicines: Rheum officinale Baill., Prunus persica (L.) Batsch, and Eupolyphaga sinensis Walker. It is derived from the ancient Chinese medical classic 'Jingui Yaolue' and has been utilized for thousands of years. XYXD is applied in the treatment of primary liver cancer, as outlined in the Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Primary Liver Cancer issued by China's Health Commission. Its therapeutic action involves enhancing NKT cell-mediated immunity against hepatocellular carcinoma by promoting primary bile acid synthesis and improving gut microbiota.
