Overview

Xidazumab (TZ-H001) is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the **programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1)** receptor. Developed by **Shandong Taize Huikang Biopharmaceutical**, it functions as an immune checkpoint inhibitor. By binding to PD-1 on the surface of T-cells, xidazumab prevents the receptor from interacting with its ligands, PD-L1 and PD-L2, which are often overexpressed by tumor cells to evade immune detection. This blockade restores the activity of exhausted T-cells, promoting an anti-tumor immune response. The drug is currently being evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of various advanced malignancies, with a particular focus on **melanoma** and **urothelial carcinoma**.
