Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xiebai San Granules is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound preparation classified as a Class 3.1 classic prescription drug. Originating from the Song-dynasty text *Xiao Er Yao Zheng Zhi Jue* by Qian Yi, the formula consists of four main herbal ingredients: stir-fried mulberry bark (Sang Bai Pi), baked lycium bark (Di Gu Pi), stir-fried licorice root (Gan Cao), and rice (Jing Mi). It is traditionally used to clear heat from the lungs, relieve cough, and alleviate wheezing, particularly for pediatric lung-heat cough and asthma patterns. Developed by Jiangsu Kangyuan Pharmaceutical, Xiebai San Granules was approved by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in December 2025 for the treatment of pediatric lung-heat cough and asthma syndrome.
