Xin Aoxing Oleanolic Acid Capsule is an over-the-counter Chinese pharmaceutical product containing oleanolic acid, developed and marketed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B. It is produced by Biostar Pharmaceuticals via its Aoxing Pharmaceutical subsidiary and is positioned as a hepatoprotective and antiviral traditional Chinese medicine–derived formulation aimed at improving liver function and reducing hepatitis B–related symptoms.[1][5][11] Oleanolic acid is a pentacyclic triterpenoid found in many plants and is commonly used in China in liver-protective preparations, where it is thought to exert hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, and possible antiviral effects, although its precise molecular targets and mechanism in hepatitis B remain poorly defined.
