Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xin Qingning Pian is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Liaoning Hancaotang Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily composed of processed Rhubarb (*Rheum palmatum* L., *Rheum tanguticum* Maxim. ex Balf., or *Rheum officinale* Baill.). The tablet is indicated for "clearing heat," "relieving constipation," and "detoxifying" (泻火解毒, 清热通便). It is used to treat symptoms associated with internal heat, such as constipation, sore throat, mouth ulcers, and toothache. As a traditional herbal product, its mechanism is described in TCM terms rather than through modern molecular targets, although its active anthraquinone constituents are known to exert laxative effects by stimulating the large intestine.
