Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xinfutai (recombinant teriparatide for injection) is a human parathyroid hormone (PTH) analog developed by Shenzhen Salubris Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of osteoporosis, particularly in postmenopausal women at high risk of fracture. It is composed of the identical 34 N-terminal amino acid sequence of the naturally occurring human parathyroid hormone. As an anabolic agent, Xinfutai binds to the parathyroid hormone receptor 1 (PTHR1) to stimulate osteoblast activity, promoting new bone synthesis, increasing bone mineral density, and improving bone structural integrity. It was the first biological product launched by Salubris Pharmaceuticals, expanding their portfolio into the orthopedics field.
