Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xingfu Liujunzi Decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula used for the treatment of chronic persistent pediatric asthma. It is a modification of the classic Liujunzi Decoction (Six Gentlemen Decoction), which typically includes *Panax ginseng*, *Atractylodes macrocephala*, *Poria cocos*, *Glycyrrhiza uralensis*, *Citrus reticulata*, and *Pinellia ternata*. The "Xingfu" modification likely incorporates additional herbs such as *Prunus armeniaca* (Xing Ren) to enhance its effects on the respiratory system. Developed and studied by the Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, the decoction aims to improve asthma control levels and reduce airway hyperresponsiveness while maintaining safety in terms of liver and renal function.
