Overview
Xinhuang Tablet is a compound Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) preparation developed and manufactured by Xiamen Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is a hybrid formulation that combines traditional herbal ingredients—including *Panax notoginseng*, *Sarcandra glabra*, *Corydalis yanhusuo*, and *Pearl Powder*—with the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) indometacin. This combination is designed to provide potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, gouty arthritis, sore throat, and toothache. The mechanism of action involves the inhibition of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes by indometacin, supplemented by the heat-clearing and blood-stasis-removing properties of the TCM components.
