Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xinjia Bushen Naqi (新加补肾纳气颗粒剂) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) granule formulation designed to "tonify the kidney" and "promote qi intake," based on TCM theory. It is used primarily for conditions associated with kidney qi deficiency and related syndromes, such as fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath, and other symptoms attributed to insufficient kidney function in TCM. The formula typically contains a combination of herbal ingredients aimed at replenishing kidney energy (shen qi), supporting respiratory function ("na qi" refers to the ability of the kidneys to grasp or hold the qi), and improving overall vitality. Its mechanism of action is rooted in multi-target modulation typical for complex herbal formulas; it may influence neuroendocrine-immune regulation, improve mitochondrial function, or modulate neurotransmitter levels according to some pharmacological studies on similar TCM formulations. However, specific molecular targets are not well defined by Western pharmacology. The product is developed according to modern pharmaceutical standards for granule preparations but follows classical Chinese medical principles in its composition and indications.
