Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xinjia Linggui Yinchen decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Dongfang Hospital, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, for the treatment of obese metabolic associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD). The formula is specifically indicated for patients presenting with the TCM syndromes of spleen deficiency, liver depression, and stagnation of turbid yin. Its therapeutic mechanism involves the regulation of the reverse cholesterol transport pathway, specifically by modulating the activity of Apolipoprotein A1 (ApoA1) and Lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT). By enhancing these pathways, the decoction aims to improve lipid profiles and reduce hepatic fat accumulation in obese patients.
