Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xinlikang (欣力康) is a proprietary Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) oral capsule developed and manufactured by Guiyang Xintian Pharmaceutical. It is approved in China (NMPA approval number Z20025071) as an adjuvant therapy for malignancies, specifically primary liver cancer and lung cancer. The formulation is composed of eight herbal and animal-derived ingredients: *Mylabris* (Blister Beetle), *Acanthopanax senticosus*, *Epimedium*, *Lycium chinense*, *Ligustrum lucidum*, *Polyporus umbellatus*, *Poria cocos*, and *Glycyrrhiza uralensis*. According to TCM principles, the drug is intended to tonify the kidney, strengthen the spleen, and nourish Qi and Yin, addressing the systemic deficiencies often observed in cancer patients. Pharmacologically, the inclusion of *Mylabris* provides cantharidin, a compound known to inhibit protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) and induce apoptosis in various tumor cell lines, although the product is utilized as a holistic multi-component therapy.
