Xinmai Kang capsule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of stable exertional angina pectoris associated with coronary artery disease. In TCM theory, the capsule is designed to address patterns of qi stagnation, blood stasis, and phlegm obstruction. The drug has been evaluated in Phase II randomized, double-blind, parallel-group clinical trials in China, where its efficacy and safety were compared against placebo and the active control Linaoxin tablet.
