Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xinxuening tablets are a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) pharmaceutical product primarily composed of standardized extracts from *Pueraria lobata* (Kudzu root) and *Crataegus pinnatifida* (Hawthorn fruit). The formulation is rich in total flavonoids, including puerarin, which contribute to its therapeutic profile. Xinxuening is indicated for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular conditions, including coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, and hyperlipidemia. Its mechanism of action involves promoting vasodilation, improving microcirculation, inhibiting platelet aggregation, and providing antioxidant protection against oxidative stress. In clinical practice, it is often used as an adjunctive treatment for acute ischemic stroke to support neurological recovery and improve clinical outcomes.
