Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xinyihua nano-extract hydrogel is a botanical-based nasal formulation developed by the Chinese PLA General Hospital for the treatment of allergic rhinitis. The active component is derived from Magnolia flos (Xinyihua), a traditional Chinese medicine known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties. This specific formulation utilizes nanotechnology to create a nano-extract, which is then incorporated into a hydrogel base to enhance drug delivery, prolong contact time with the nasal mucosa, and improve therapeutic efficacy. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety and efficacy in adults with mild allergic rhinitis.
