Xinyue Capsule

**Xinyue Capsule** is a Chinese prescription botanical medicine manufactured by Jilin Jian Yisheng Pharmaceutical. Its declared active ingredient is total saponins extracted from the stems and leaves of *Panax quinquefolius* (American ginseng); each 0.3 g capsule is equivalent to 50 mg of these saponins. It is approved in China for coronary heart disease with angina pectoris in patients classified under the traditional Chinese medicine pattern of qi and yin deficiency. The product has also been studied as an adjunct to conventional therapy after percutaneous coronary intervention and is being evaluated in a Phase 3 study for heart failure with preserved ejection fraction.
