Xipayi Guyin Ye

Xipayi Guyin Ye (西帕依固龈液), also known as Xipayi Gingival Solution, is an approved over-the-counter traditional Uyghur medicine developed and manufactured by Xinqikang Pharmaceutical. [2, 5] The main active ingredient is Galla Chinensis (没食子), a source of polyphenolic compounds like tannins and gallic acid. [1, 2, 5, 12] Formulated as an oral rinse, it exerts astringent, hemostatic, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory effects. [4, 5, 6] It is primarily used to treat periodontal diseases, alleviating symptoms such as bleeding gums, loose teeth, and mouth sores. [1, 3] Clinical research also supports its use in combination with antibiotics for periodontitis. [5] Furthermore, it is under investigation in a Phase II clinical trial for the prevention of radiation-induced oral mucositis in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
