Xisimin

Xisimin is an over-the-counter branded formulation of loratadine, a second-generation peripheral H1 histamine receptor antagonist used for the relief of allergic symptoms such as allergic rhinitis and other upper respiratory allergies. Developed and marketed in China by Xian Janssen (a Janssen/Kenvue affiliate), Xisimin tablets have been evaluated in bioequivalence studies versus the reference loratadine brand Clarityne, confirming comparable systemic exposure under fasting and fed conditions.[3][5][7][9][12] As a non-sedating antihistamine, loratadine in Xisimin selectively blocks peripheral H1 receptors to reduce histamine-mediated vasodilation, vascular permeability, and sensory nerve activation, thereby decreasing sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal itching, and ocular symptoms while causing minimal central nervous system depression compared with first-generation antihistamines.[11]
