**Xitix** is a brand name for a vitamin C (ascorbic acid) preparation developed by Woelm Pharma, primarily used for the prevention and treatment of hypo- and avitaminosis C. Ascorbic acid is essential for intracellular collagen formation, strengthening teeth, bones, and capillary walls, while participating in redox reactions, tyrosine metabolism, folic acid conversion, carbohydrate/lipid/protein synthesis, iron metabolism, and cellular respiration; it enhances infection resistance, iron absorption, and acts as an antioxidant. For systemic use, it addresses increased vitamin C needs during growth, pregnancy, lactation, heavy loads, fatigue, recovery from illness, and winter infection risk; intravaginally, it normalizes vaginal pH and microflora in chronic/recurrent vaginitis. Administered orally, IM, IV, or intravaginally, with dosages of 25-75 mg/day for prevention and 250 mg/day or more for treatment.[1]
