Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xixiai is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal preparation, typically formulated as a lotion or liquid for vaginal irrigation. It is primarily investigated for its efficacy in promoting the clearance (conversion) of human papillomavirus (HPV) in patients with cervical high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL), particularly as an adjuvant therapy following cervical conization. The formulation is designed to support the healing of the cervical mucosa and exert local antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects. As a botanical complex, its therapeutic activity is attributed to the synergistic effects of multiple herbal components common in gynecological TCM washes, such as *Sophora flavescens* and *Phellodendron amurense*, which are traditionally used to treat inflammatory and infectious conditions of the female reproductive tract.
