Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xiyanping injection + oseltamivir phosphate is a combination of two drugs used primarily for the treatment of acute viral infections, particularly influenza. Xiyanping injection is a traditional Chinese medicine preparation containing andrographolide sulfonate, which exhibits antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties and is commonly used in China for respiratory tract infections[3]. Oseltamivir phosphate is an oral antiviral medication that acts as a neuraminidase inhibitor, blocking the release of new influenza virus particles from infected cells and thereby limiting the spread of infection in the body[2][5]. Oseltamivir is approved for both treatment and prevention of influenza A and B in adults and children[1][4][6]. The combination may be considered to enhance antiviral efficacy during early stages of acute infection.
