Xiyue Granules

Xiyue Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) compound preparation developed by Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine University Yuanchuang Technology Co., Ltd. specifically for the treatment of chronic knee synovitis, often associated with knee osteoarthritis. The formulation is based on classical TCM principles aimed at clearing heat, resolving dampness, and activating blood circulation to alleviate joint swelling and pain. Pharmacological research indicates that Xiyue Granules exerts anti-inflammatory and chondroprotective effects by inhibiting the TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway, which in turn reduces the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α). Additionally, it has been shown to downregulate the expression of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), thereby mitigating the degradation of the synovial membrane and articular cartilage.
