Overview

XKDCT225 is an autologous, targeted chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy developed by Shenzhen Celconta Life Science for the treatment of advanced solid tumors that express Claudin18.2. The therapy involves engineering a patient's own T cells to express a CAR targeting Claudin18.2, a tight junction protein overexpressed in certain cancers such as gastric cancer, esophageal cancer, and gastroesophageal junction cancer. The mechanism of action is immunologic cytotoxicity via replacement and activation of T lymphocytes to recognize and kill tumor cells expressing Claudin18.2. As of early 2025, XKDCT225 is in Phase 1 clinical trials in China for patients with advanced solid tumors who have failed or are intolerant to standard treatments[1][2][4][7].
