Overview

XLifeS TCR-T is an autologous T-cell receptor engineered T-cell (TCR-T) therapy developed by XLifeS, a subsidiary of Guangzhou Xiangxue Pharmaceutical. The therapy involves the ex vivo genetic modification of a patient's T cells to express a specific T-cell receptor (TCR) designed to recognize and bind to tumor-specific antigens presented by human leukocyte antigen (HLA) molecules on the surface of malignant cells. This engineered recognition triggers T-cell activation and the subsequent lysis of the tumor cells. In 2020, the US FDA approved the Investigational New Drug (IND) application for XLifeS TCR-T, allowing it to proceed into Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of cancer.
