Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Xolatryp** (formerly NYR-BI03) is a first-in-class small-molecule inhibitor of Transient Receptor Potential Canonical (TRPC) ion channels developed by Nyrada Inc. for neuroprotection and cardioprotection. It limits pathological calcium ion entry into cells, stabilizes mitochondrial function, reduces reactive oxygen species damage, and mitigates secondary injury in conditions like ischemic stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI). Preclinical studies have demonstrated significant efficacy, including 42% rescue of brain tissue in stroke models and preservation of mitochondrial health in penetrating TBI models.[4][6][8][12]
