Overview

XPACE-1007 is an mRNA-based therapeutic candidate being developed by Xanadu Bio for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It utilizes the company's proprietary PACE (Polymer for Advancement of Cell Engineering) platform, which employs biodegradable polymer nanoparticles to deliver mRNA specifically to target tissues. XPACE-1007 is designed to deliver mRNA encoding Interleukin-12 (IL-12) directly to the lungs. Once expressed, IL-12 acts as a potent immunomodulator, stimulating the activity of T cells and natural killer (NK) cells to enhance the immune system's ability to identify and destroy tumor cells. By targeting delivery to the lung, the therapy aims to maximize local anti-tumor efficacy while reducing the systemic side effects typically associated with recombinant IL-12 protein administration. The program is currently in the preclinical and IND-enabling stages of development.
