Drug intelligence / Profile preview
XQ-1H is a small molecule derivative of ginkgolide B, specifically 10-O-(N,N-dimethylaminoethyl)-ginkgolide B methanesulfonate, developed by Nanjing Carephar Pharmaceutical for the treatment of ischemic stroke. It acts as a platelet-activating factor (PAF) antagonist with enhanced water solubility compared to its parent compound. Preclinical studies indicate that XQ-1H provides neuroprotection and anti-inflammatory effects by regulating microglia polarization and the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development in both injection and tablet formulations.
