Overview
XS008 is an amorphous, non-crystalline formulation of axitinib, a potent and selective tyrosine kinase inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR-1, VEGFR-2, and VEGFR-3). Developed by Xspray Pharma using its proprietary HyNap platform technology, XS008 is designed as an improved version of the reference drug Inlyta. By creating a stable amorphous solid dispersion, the HyNap platform aims to enhance the pharmacokinetic properties and potentially reduce the food effect or variability associated with the crystalline form of the drug. XS008 is currently in development for the treatment of renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer), targeting the angiogenesis pathways that drive tumor growth and metastasis.
