XT-150 is a non-integrating, non-viral gene therapy consisting of a plasmid DNA encoding a proprietary modified variant of human interleukin 10 (IL‑10v). It is designed for local administration via intraarticular or intrathecal injection to induce sustained expression of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL‑10 at the site of disease. The drug aims to supplement endogenous IL‑10 activity, restoring immune homeostasis and reducing chronic inflammation and pain. Developed by Xalud Therapeutics, it is under clinical investigation for musculoskeletal pain (including osteoarthritis), peripheral neuropathic pain, facet syndrome, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), dermatological disorders, ophthalmological disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, and skin disorders. Its mechanism involves gene transfer leading to local production of IL‑10 protein.
