Drug intelligence / Profile preview
XTIKTR is an autologous epithelial cell therapy developed by Regrow Biosciences for the treatment of urethral stricture. The therapy involves harvesting a patient's own epithelial cells, which are then processed and implanted at the site of the stricture. Once implanted, these cells facilitate the regeneration of a new epithelialization layer, effectively restoring the natural urethral tissue and relieving symptoms. Developed in partnership with the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) of the Government of India, XTIKTR was launched in 2020 as a biological alternative to traditional surgical interventions for urological conditions.
