Drug intelligence / Profile preview
XTR003 is a novel 18F-labeled fatty acid analog developed as a PET imaging radiotracer for the evaluation of myocardial fatty acid metabolism. It is designed to assess myocardial viability by visualizing and quantifying fatty acid uptake and retention in heart tissue. The compound demonstrates rapid uptake and prolonged retention in the myocardium, making it promising for detecting viable myocardium in patients with suspected or known coronary artery disease. Clinical studies have shown that XTR003 is safe and well-tolerated, with favorable pharmacokinetics and radiation dosimetry profiles. The drug has been developed at Beijing Anzhen Hospital affiliated to Sinotau Pharmaceutical Group.
